Crossing Space Frontiers
In my frontiers class we crossed worlds from Earth's ocean to Space. For this last unit we explored the universe's laws, different cosmic perspectives, and even dove into some readings from Neil deGrasse Tyson and Richard Feynman. We were able to get deeper looks into the topics covered through online videos and worksheets handed out as supplements. As we reached the end of our year it was time to conclude our class with a final action project.
For the final action project we were asked to reflect on a current challenge faced by frontiers in space exploration. Since I was very lost in the beginning and had no idea what to pick as my topic, I decided to go with something completely random and something I'd never learned about before. I ended up choosing low cost space technology as my topic. After many struggles to gather research material and late night readings, I compiled a research paper on the advancements in miniaturization and additive manufacturing (3-D printing) and how they have enabled us to achieve lower cost space technology. Below I have attached my research paper. I hope you enjoy reading through it as it was a real struggle for me to complete. This is also the last action project I will ever post on my blog, it has been a great four years and I am excited to end this chapter of here and start the next one already. Enjoy the reading! AAG signing out.
