Calculating the Future

In my economics class we have covered various subjects. Ranging from supply and demand to invectives to centralized banks. As an additional resource and enrichment to our class we have read the book Freakonomics by Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner which covered the essence of what economics is and how the behavior displayed by our economies are very linked to the way we live our moral lives and conduct ourselves as a society. We also got to talk with experts in the field by speaking to representative from the Chicago Federal Reserve and learning more about the importance of having a centralized bank in our country, not to mention we got free shredded money from there! Of course we also learned lots of math involving interest, compounding interest, and other topics. With our knowledge of these topics and formulas we also learned how to make our own machines on google sheets that would instantly calculate the formulas we inputed, leaving us with less work to do. With all the knowledge under our belt it was time to demonstrate our mastery of the subjects in the form of one big action project. The essence of the project was to create a plan, a plan involving opportunity costs, the future, and big life decisions for all of us. We were to make an ultimate choice of what we wanted to do with the rest of our life and so with all our new skills we got to work.

Here is an intro to my project:

In conclusion, I believe this action project has really helped me face the predicted reality of my future using data, statistics, economic factors, and satisfaction with my future career. I hope you enjoyed reading and tagging along on this journey with me, thank you for reading!
