Caring For Our Commons

As our Econ class came to a wrap we took a deeper dive into Kate Raworth's book, Doughnut Economics. We split into groups, each one assigned a different chapter and deeply analyzed and grasped the concepts in each chapter. In order to make sure the rest of our class understood the concepts in each chapter, we all created interactive activities on our assigned chapter. By the end we all had a strong grasp of the book as a whole and knew our way around the doughnut economic model, a new more sustainable system for the 21st century. 

In the book as a whole there are only about seven chapters, but what if there was an eight chapter? Not too long ago a contest was held to see what could be added to the book. Any idea that the reader felt was missing was welcome and so that's where the idea for this project came. As a class we were to each come up individually with an idea to add to the book, anything we felt was missing and deserved a chapter of its own. For mine I specifically chose a subject that our current economic model doesn't seem to pay enough attention to, the Commons. Without further ado here is my eight chapter:
