Impressionism is Impressive

 This fall term I took a class heavily focused on research called Do Your Own Research. In this class we learned the basics principles of making an academically accurate research paper as well as the necessary elements one must include. By the end of the class we were expected to chose a topic of deep interest to conduct thorough research and write our own paper on. Being an art history nerd myself I decided to focus my paper around impressionism. As for the question that inspired and drove my research, I decided to ask "What effects did the impressionist techniques and movement have on art history?" and with that I got to researching.
